This walk is about the journey, not the destination. Research is clear that time outdoors can reduce stress, settle the mind, and contribute to increased physical and psychological well-being; mindfulness heightens the experience of being outdoors. We will hone our attention to nourish our connection to ourselves and all living things around us. This walk is not geared toward nature identification but rather opening our senses to nature’s language. We'll begin with a breathing practice and a short standing meditation designed to help us focus and then walk, with a curiosity of sights, sounds, and sensations, interspersed with brief exercises to deepen the experience. Beginners welcome. Choose footwear and clothing appropriate for weather conditions. We will meet at the Providence Ave. entrance to the preserve. More Info/Register
